Fitzpatrick’s Four-to-One Table

Taking influences from both Nordic and Asian design, Leon Fitzpatrick’s Four-to-One Table is a strong interior or exterior accent for those who enjoy sculptural centerpieces. The white and woodgrain furniture piece can actually break down into easy-to-reassemble elements for quick transportation or just so that you can use the table just about anywhere in your home. Aside from serving as a centerpiece dining table, the center of the Four-to-One also glows with white light. I would definitely recommend this table as a fun exterior accent for those with lush garden spaces or a compact patio space. Just imagine sitting down after your summer barbeque at the Four-to-One with your friends and allowing the table to glow with accent light long in the warm evening. – via

Selin’s Crush Sofa

German design studio Coordination presented Flip Selin’s Crush Sofa at this year’s DMY Extended in Berlin last week to much interest. An upholstered surface held in place by a painted white metal frame, Crush consists of two chaise lounge chairs that can be fused together to combine a larger sofa. A strong accent for a living room interior, Crush is an explicitly modern design that that may be perfectly suitable as the sofa accent as part of an integrated contemporary furniture scheme. Though Crush was designed asymmetrically with a dark gray upholstery, designers may be smart to use Crush’s components to navigate a user’s eye through a space organically from one section of a room to another. - via

Hoffman’s Modular Lights

Adaptive and interesting, German design student Robert Hoffman’s diplom thesis “Modular Lights” are a very personal way to establish a lighting scheme for your home. By tilting and adjusting the outer flat panels of the sculpture, light is released from the inner light structure to your specifications. Highly recommended for someone who enjoys constantly shifting and adjusting their light schemes for different occasions, Hoffman’s Modular Lights would be smart accent lights for an interior with classic or ornate elements that appear differently in different lighting schemes. For example, the Modular Lights can allow you to be very specific with how you present your French Rococo coffee table or may serve as perfect ambient accents to your Louis Kahn lighting centerpiece. Or adjust the Modular Lights for lower light release during the summer and higher release during the winter. The possibilities are very literally endless. - via
